How to Use Dropshadow in Paint Shop Pro

How to use Paint Shop Pros Dropshadow

1. Have a blank image screen open in PSP.

2. Click on your text tool. Look at your
tool bar at the top of your PSP and set the
text tool settings to match mine in pic below.

3. Click on your blank image screen and type
any word or phrase there. Once typed you want
the text to look like it has little marching
ants (Selection) around it. You MUST have your settings
exactly as I showed you in step 2, or you
will NOT see that with your text.

4. Now you want to go to Effects~ 3D Effects~ Drop Shadow.

5. As I show you in the next 2 pics you can play
with the direction the shadow "falls" behind your text.
If you want it to be closer to the text simply left click
on the little cross...as indicated in the pics by the
arrow and slide it closer to the center circle.

6. Finally click ok and you have just used Drop Shadow
successfully!

7. If you were doing this on a tag then you would move
the text to where you want it to be...now go to Selections
and click on Select None. Now you can save your tag :-)

  1. Cindy, Jolene Carmen shared the link to your blog on her Facebook page, and she says on there how awesome you are and I agree!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge on tagging. I can't tag at all and I really want to learn. Your tag sets are awesome, and so are you!!! Thanks again, Angie Brackins Ogle (my Facebook name)
